ZoneX Browser

Privacy Policy

ZoneX Browser connects Chrome to the ZoneX desktop app so the app can carry out browsing tasks you request.

Last updated: September 30, 2026

Your control: ZoneX asks before using an existing Chrome tab. It may also open temporary tabs for your task. You can deny access to an existing tab or stop using the extension.

Information used during a task

For tabs ZoneX creates or tabs you allow it to use, the extension may read page URLs, page text, visible controls, values displayed in fields, content entered during the task, and screenshots. This can include personal information shown on those pages. The extension uses these details to identify page elements, perform your requested actions, and report results.

Because you choose which sites and tasks to use, task pages may contain identifiers, health or financial details, sign-in information, personal messages, location information, browsing activity, and other website content. ZoneX Browser does not request these categories separately, but it may encounter them while processing a task page.

The extension sends task data to the ZoneX desktop app on your computer through Chrome Native Messaging. Depending on the AI provider you configure in the desktop app, the app may send task content, including page text or screenshots, to that provider to interpret the page and generate a response. Review that provider's privacy terms for its handling and retention of the information.

Storage and retention

The extension stores temporary tab and session ownership information in Chrome session storage so tasks remain separate and access can be restored safely if Chrome restarts the extension service worker. The extension does not use this storage to save page text or screenshots.

The extension has no advertising, analytics, or data-sale integration. The ZoneX desktop app and your configured AI provider may handle task content separately; this policy describes the extension itself, not their full retention practices.

Permissions and tab control

Chrome permissions for tabs, page scripting, navigation, and debugging allow ZoneX to observe and interact with task pages and capture screenshots. Broad website access is needed because you may ask ZoneX to work on different sites. Native Messaging connects the extension to the local desktop app.

Borrowed tabs that you already had open remain open when ZoneX releases them. Tabs ZoneX opens for a task are closed when that task ends. Disabling or uninstalling the extension stops further Chrome access by the extension.

Limited use of data

ZoneX Browser uses information obtained through Chrome only to carry out the user-requested browser task and related operation of that feature. It does not sell user data or use it for advertising, credit decisions, or lending. It transfers task data only as needed to the local ZoneX app and the AI provider configured by the user to complete the task.

Use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the extension's behavior changes. The update date at the top of this page will reflect changes. For privacy questions, email alleniversoncyt@gmail.com.
